HP and Red Hat Create Blade Bundle

Claim It As the First Open-Source Blade Bundle

Red Hat and HP have announced what the companies say is the first open source blade bundle. Red Hat Network products will also be offered with a specially designed BladeSystem toolkit and the companies will team on clustering by making Red Hat's Global File System (GFS) available with HP Serviceguard for Linux.

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux and management bundle for BladeSystem and the BladeSystem Integration Toolkit for Red Hat Network version 1.0 are supposed to make it easier to deploy multiple servers in a BladeSystem enclosure. The bundle includes multiple instances of Red Hat, a provisioning module and Red Hat Network Proxy, available for the first time to HP customers.
