Award-Winning Applix Customer Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages to Present at IDC's Finance Performance Management Forum

Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages' Director of Brand Analysis Showcases CPG Manufacturer's Experiences in Performance Managem

NEW YORK, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IDC'S FINANCE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT FORUM -- Applix, Inc. , a global provider of single platform solutions for Business Performance Management (BPM) and Business Intelligence (BI), has an award-winning customer, Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages, presenting at the IDC Finance Performance Management Forum tomorrow. Bill Primerano, director of brand analysis, Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages, will explain how the company uses Applix's TM1 performance management software in finance and leverages it across operational activities. Primerano will explain the benefits of eliminating information silos and provide recommendations for getting participation and agreement across multiple lines of businesses and operational tasks.

Last year, Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (CSAB) won Business Finance Magazine's Vision award for excellence in business performance management. The winning application uses the Applix TM1 platform for strategic planning, forecasting the impact of business model changes, budgeting and reporting.

"Attendees of the IDC's Finance Performance Management Forum can gain many insights from Bill Primerano of Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages," said David Menninger, vice president, worldwide product management and marketing, Applix, Inc. "Bill and his team started working with TM1 while they were at Snapple Beverages and continued to grow the breadth and depth of the application as the company acquired and merged new divisions. The Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages story is a perfect example of making a single investment in a BPM platform and extending its usage to meet strategic business goals across an organization."

"With TM1, the CSAB team not only performs budgeting and monthly financial reporting, but also predicts the impact of changes in product sales mix (Snapple and Mott's) as well as forecasts the impact of changing business models and measures the value of introducing new products into the marketplace," said Primerano.

Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages relies on TM1 for financial budgeting, planning and reporting and operational "what-if" scenario planning and profitability analysis. Additionally, TM1 serves as the consolidation point of raw data gathered from the company's SAP implementation and enables rapid analysis and reporting on the information stored in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) application.

When shopping for a new data processing platform for IoT solutions, many development teams want to be able to test-drive options before making a choice. Yet when evaluating an IoT solution, it’s simply not feasible to do so at scale with physical devices. Building a sensor simulator is the next best choice; however, generating a realistic simulation at very high TPS with ease of configurability is a formidable challenge. When dealing with multiple application or transport protocols, you would be...

We are given a desktop platform with Java 8 or Java 9 installed and seek to find a way to deploy high-performance Java applications that use Java 3D and/or Jogl without having to run an installer. We are subject to the constraint that the applications be signed and deployed so that they can be run in a trusted environment (i.e., outside of the sandbox). Further, we seek to do this in a way that does not depend on bundling a JRE with our applications, as this makes downloads and installations rat...

In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lead...
Digital Transformation (DX) is not a "one-size-fits all" strategy. Each organization needs to develop its own unique, long-term DX plan. The IoT Will Grow: In what might be the most obvious prediction of the decade, the IoT will continue to expand next year, with more and more devices coming online every single day. What isn’t so obvious about this prediction: where that growth will occur. The retail, healthcare, and industrial/supply chain industries will likely see the greatest growth. Forrester Research has predicted the IoT will become “the backbone” of customer value as it continues to grow. It is no surprise that retail is ...
