Open Source in a Do-It-Yourself Economy

You can go far on little with a lot of hardwork and assistance

We have come a long way in the history/archives /library world. The internet and now open source programming is swinging doors & windows wide open for the little guy or gal.

The audience can now be wooed and targeted like never before and across the globe to boot!

I own a website http://researchhistory.org that utilizes the relatively inexpensive resources of open source programming.

As the domain name indicates my site's content is about history. Over many years of experience, I have gained the knowledge of web hosting, programming, and digital history.

Digital History is the process of  taking historical materials books, manuscripts, image indexes, maps and more and making them accessible globally. Another key element is making sure your site is an e-commerce site. That way clients can easily navigate and purchase items at will.

If you are interested in seeking out assistance with your own digital project, please email me at history@researchhistory.org.
