With a smartphone like the iPhone, Android or Nokia Symbian device running a web-based browser, Open-Xchange Mobile Web App is optimized for low bandwidth connections providing instant and fast over-the-air access to data, which is safely stored on the Open-Xchange Server.

In addition, users can conveniently initiate a call by clicking on a phone number from their Open-Xchange address book.

"We did a complete overhaul of our existing mobile app using HTML5 to provide users with offline, as well as online access when they are on the road," said Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange. "With our ‘Social OX' features, users have the ability to add contact details from their social networks including Facebook, LinkedIn and Xing to their Open-Xchange address book giving them easy access to that information from mobile devices."

The Mobile Web App is immediately available to users of Open-Xchange Server 6, whether on-premises or hosted by a service provider. This is a pure web application so there is no installation or download needed to use the app on a smartphone.
