LAS VEGAS and BEDMINSTER, N.J., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless V CAST customers can now call up their favorite JibJab videos with the touch of a button following the announcement today of an exclusive mobile video arrangement between Verizon Wireless and JibJab Media at CTIA Wireless 2006.
JibJab took the online world by storm when its parodies "This Land" and "Good to be in DC!" were seen more than 80 million times during the last Presidential election. Since then, the company has built JibJab.com into one of the top comedy destinations on the Internet. Now V CAST customers can access fifteen of JibJab's most popular videos as well as all upcoming videos from their wireless phones as they are simultaneously released on the Web.
"V CAST will un-tether our brand from the browser and enable our audience to get JibJab on-the-go," said chief executive officer and co-founder of JibJab, Gregg Spiridellis. "Verizon Wireless has the best network, a massive audience and a deep commitment to programming. We're thrilled to be in business with them."
Ryan Hughes, director of consumer content programming and business development at Verizon Wireless, said, "At Verizon Wireless, we are always looking for ways to expand our V CAST lineup and bring the best of entertainment to our customers. JibJab created a cultural phenomenon with its parodies and we are excited to offer V CAST customers exclusive access to JibJab content from their wireless phones."
V CAST from Verizon Wireless allows customers to view video clips from the hottest names in entertainment, news, sports and more in the palms of their hands. V CAST is currently available to more than 150 million Americans and runs on Verizon Wireless' broadband network, the most robust, award-winning wireless broadband network in the nation.
To get V CAST from Verizon Wireless, customers simply equip their V CAST- enabled phones with a V CAST VPak subscription for $15.00 monthly access added to their Verizon Wireless calling plan.
