Under terms of the agreement, e-System will distribute Levanta's award-winning Linux server management appliance to customers in Japan. Levanta's Intrepid M is the first appliance to combine data virtualization with network provisioning, greatly simplifying common Linux systems management tasks for mid-market and enterprise customers.
"In Japan, Linux has evolved from its web server heritage to pervasive use across the enterprise," said Hirofumi Watanabe, CEO of e-System Corporation. "As Linux supports core CRM business applications, Japanese organizations are hungry for new management options. The rich feature set, reliability and low price of the Intrepid M appliance make this a very compelling value for organizations running anywhere from 10 to 1,000 Linux servers."
e-System and its subsidiaries develop CRM packages that run on Linux. Levanta's Intrepid M appliance will provide e-System customers with a very simple mechanism to deploy the CRM packages to any Linux machine on the network. For customers with custom configurations, the Intrepid M will store the various templates -- so as new users are added, provisioning machines with the desired configuration is a simple "drag and drop" function on an intuitive UI, rather than having to install disks manually on each machine.
"Levanta is very excited to kick off our international sales efforts in Japan with such a strong partner," said Matt Mosman, CEO of Levanta. "e-System has a long track record of delivering the highest quality Linux solutions to its customers, and we're honored by their decision to resell the Intrepid M appliance."
