Very Early Chandler Out

An early 0.1 version of Chandler, the collaborative P2P open source project put in train by Lotus 1-2-3 creator Mitch Kapor that's named for the great detective story writer Raymond Chandler and that's meant to be a personal information manager doing e-mail and providing an appointments calendar and a contact list has started circulating. It's for Windows, Macs and Linux and the so-called Open Source Applications Foundation responsible for it is looking for architectural criticism. See www.osafoundation.org

, which has gotten a $98k grant from the Mellon Foundation to extend Chandler, originally intended for SMEs, to the educational establishment.
