Porticor joins Red Hat Innovate initiative to deliver end-to-end Cloud Data Security based on Red Hat

Porticor®, the leading cloud data security company delivering the only cloud-based data encryption solution that infuses trust into the cloud by ensuring customer keys are never exposed, today announced it has joined the Red Hat Innovate™ program, enabling Porticor to leverage the power, openness and collaborative nature of open source communities, including enhanced access to Red Hat collaboration initiatives and software programs.

Porticor recently launched the Porticor Virtual Private Data™ (Porticor VPD™) system, the industry’s first solution combining data encryption with patented key management to protect critical data in public, private and hybrid cloud environments. As a Red Hat Innovate member, Porticor now has access to the Red Hat product and solution portfolio, enabling Porticor’s VPD system to leverage Red Hat’s enterprise storage and cloud solutions to deliver additional added value to customers, including large-scale private clouds and market-leading enterprise support.

The Red Hat Innovate program includes benefits such as joint marketing opportunities; access to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and JBoss Enterprise Middleware for development, testing, and production purposes; alignment with the Red Hat Software Catalog; and access to Red Hat’s innovative Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering, OpenShift. Porticor’s VPD system available to users running Red Hat Enterprise Linux now offers customers access to features such as Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization delivered on the proven open source platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and enterprise-level customer support.
