CODESTRONG will kick off with an all-night "Hack to Help" Hackathon on Sunday, October 21st. Hack to Help participants will form 12 teams, and each team will be matched with a charity. The teams will code throughout the night to create mobile apps that leverage the power of mobile to accelerate their fundraising efforts.
Initial charities include The Avril Lavigne Foundation, Mercy Corps, Special Olympics, and Stop Hunger Now.
"I am very excited that my fans will have the opportunity to give back from the convenience of their mobile phones!" said Avril Lavigne, Founder and President of The Avril Lavigne Foundation.
