Oracle recognises Interoute for expertise in delivering Oracle Exadata Database Machine
Berlin/London, 24 September 2012 - Interoute, owner operator of Europe's largest cloud services platform and provider of hosted application services, today announced that it has achieved Platinum partner status in Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). By attaining Platinum level membership, Oracle has recognised Interoute for its in-depth expertise and excellence in addressing the challenges of customers. Interoute has also achieved an OPN Specialization for Oracle Exadata, bringing the total number of Oracle Specializations the company holds to eight.
Interoute offers a highly secure, complete Oracle managed hosting service used by over 250 clients, including a number of FTSE 100 companies and government bodies.
The Oracle Exadata Database Machine is the only database machine that provides extreme performance for both data warehousing and online transaction processing (OLTP) workloads, making it the ideal platform for consolidating onto private clouds. It is a complete package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is massively scalable, secure, and redundant.
Julian Boneham, Sales Director for Interoute Application Management, commented: "By investing in our business to develop and maintain the expertise required for becoming a Platinum partner in OPN, we position ourselves to support the database and application layer for Oracle customers of all sizes. Customers know that by working with us, they are putting their Oracle environment into the safe hands of an OPN Specialized partner."
"Becoming a Platinum partner in OPN and achieving an OPN Specialization in Oracle Exadata is an important and significant milestone for Interoute," said Lydia Smyers, Group Vice President, Worldwide A&C Programs and Communications, Oracle. "With a total of eight OPN Specializations, they maintain a high-level of Oracle expertise and are uniquely positioned to address a broad span of customer challenges. We look forward to watching their continued success throughout Europe."
Interoute has established its depth and breadth of expertise across eight key Oracle solution areas, including Oracle Exadata, Oracle Linux, Oracle Data Warehousing, Oracle Database, Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Database Performance Tuning, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Database Security Options.
