MCLEAN, Va., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Brabeion Software, a leading provider of IT security risk and compliance management software, has named former PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) Director, Steven Schlarman, Chief Compliance Strategist. Mr. Schlarman brings deep compliance, security and audit expertise to Brabeion. He will report to Brabeion President and CEO, Julian Waits.
Mr. Schlarman is a recognized authority and published author on IT security and compliance. During his tenure at PwC, Mr. Schlarman focused on security strategy, security policy development, penetration studies, Sarbanes- Oxley preparation and computer crime investigation. Mr. Schlarman served as PwC's global subject matter expert on enterprise security architecture and security policy, and led the development of PwC's original Enterprise Security Architecture System (ESAS). Brabeion acquired ESAS from PwC and announced a strategic alliance with PwC to distribute its globally-recognized IT audit and compliance content in June 2005. The product was enhanced in 2006 and renamed Brabeion Compliance Center.
