Secure enterprise Dropbox-like service deployed across Claranet VDC in Germany
Frankfurt/Hamburg, Germany, November 7th, 2012 - Enterprise cloud synchronization provider, TeamDrive, and managed services provider, Claranet, today announced TeamDrive has been selected as the first, secure, file sharing and collaboration software application for the Claranet Virtual Datacentre (VDC). TeamDrive Systems, a key Claranet partner, ensures secure and scalable file sharing and collaboration to enterprise customers in the protected Claranet datacenter. TeamDrive delivers a simple, secure file sharing and storage service that works the way users work - from anywhere on any device - to meet user requirements without sacrificing IT control.
TeamDrive's co-founder and CEO, Volker Oboda said, "TeamDrive collaboration software and the Claranet VDC combined provide a powerful, scalable, secure and future-oriented communication solution."
Every user can convert the contents of a folder on his PC, notebook, smartphone (iOS / Android) or tablet into a secure shared space with just three mouse clicks. Users are able to continue working as usual at their computers without investing in training. People can use this shared space with any number of personally "invited" users. OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, pdf, photographs, videos and all other file formats can be instantly and securely exchanged. Automatic versioning, backup and file synchronization enhance all aspects of productivity. TeamDrive does its work almost imperceptibly in the background.
Olaf Fischer, managing director at Claranet adds, "Users maintain complete control over their documents with TeamDrive's built-in encryption technology in Claranet's certified enterprise-class cloud service VDC, where security standards are very high, despite its ease of operation and flexibility."
Owing to its high security standards, TeamDrive has been awarded by the ULD (Independent Center for Privacy Protection) with the seal of privacy for IT products and privacy protection audit for public authorities. TeamDrive has received the IT-security award 2012 in the category Web / Internet Security. Additionally, TeamDrive provides administrative tools to manage users, permissions, encryption, and quotas in the Claranet VDC.
Availability
The popular TeamDrive cross-platform collaboration solution will be available in the German Claranet VDC in November 2012.
TeamDrive and Claranet are offering customers the ability to sign up for a 30 day trial account for 10 Users and 100 GB Storage together with a TeamDrive Personal Server.
