LEGO® Education Education transforme l'apprentissage des STEM (Sciences, Technologie, Ingénierie et Mathématiques) avec la plateforme de la nouvelle génération LEGO MINDSTORMS® Education EV3

Aujourd'hui, LEGO® Education a annoncé le lancement de la plateforme LEGO MINDSTORMS® Education EV3, la robotique de la nouvelle génération pour la salle de classe, s'inscrivant dans le droit fil de 15 années de technologie robotique MINDSTORMS pour l'éducation. La plateforme EV3 a été créée à partir de réactions de plus 800 enseignants du monde entier et fournit un programme de mise en œuvre et une technologie robotiques bien conçus destinés à l'enseignement de l'informatique, des sciences, de la technologie, de l'ingénierie et des mathématiques grâce à une expérience pratique utilisant des capteurs, des moteurs, la programmation et la brique programmable EV3. Les élèves peuvent désormais construire et programmer un robot entièrement fonctionnel en une seule classe de 45 minutes.

La plateforme comprend un programme d'apprentissage personnalisable livré sous forme numérique et qui s'installe directement dans l'interface logicielle de programmation. Le cahier numérique intégré peut être utilisé par les élèves pour prendre des notes sur leur travail à mesure qu'ils progressent d'une leçon à l'autre, ce qui permet à l'enseignant de suivre plus facilement les progrès des élèves et d'évaluer leur travail.

La plateforme EV3 comprend le programme « Design Engineering Projects » (Conception de projets d'études), un programme d'études comportant 30 heures d'enseignement en salle de classe. La structure des activités du programme Design Engineering Projects suit le processus de conception d'ingénierie utilisé par les scientifiques et les ingénieurs dans de nombreuses industries. En utilisant des vidéos de robots authentiques pour s'en inspirer, les élèves reçoivent un énoncé de conception de projet qui les met au défi de développer, concevoir et partager leur solution. Tout au long du processus, l'apprentissage des élèves se fait en combinant et en appliquant les compétences inhérentes à plusieurs disciplines, les sciences, la technologie et les mathématiques à mesure qu'ils mettent au point leur solution de conception. Cette structure est conçue pour aider les élèves à développer des compétences en matière de réflexion créative, de résolution des problèmes, de travail en équipe et de communication nécessaires pour réussir dans leurs études et au-delà.

Le kit de base LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 est livré avec le brique EV3, une batterie rechargeable, des capteurs, des moteurs, un large choix de briques, une nouvelle roue à billes, ainsi qu'un guide de montage. La plateforme logicielle intuitive pour EV3 est basée sur le logiciel de programmation graphique LabVIEW™ de National Instruments, la même technologie qui équipe certaines des plus importantes innovations au monde, et comprend de nouvelles capacités d'enregistrement de données qui permettent aux élèves de recueillir et calculer leurs données et en faire des graphiques. Est également disponible un kit d'expansion de LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3, qui permet aux élèves de construire des robots de plus grande échelle, plus complexes.
