Au salon international de l'électronique grand public 2013, Johnson Controls dévoile la prochaine génération de systèmes d'infotainment qui rendent la conduite encore plus agréable

En se fondant sur plus d'une décennie d'expérience en matière de connectivité, de télématique mains libres et d'interfaces homme-machine (IHM), Johnson Controls élargit son portefeuille de produits en proposant aux constructeurs automobiles un système d'infotainment pleinement intégré au véhicule.L'entreprise, un leader des intérieurs et de l'électronique pour l'automobile, vient d'annoncer la nouvelle aujourd'hui, au salon International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013.

« Face à l'évolution du marché qui privilégie des solutions d'infotainment plus intégrées, nous avons développé nos capacités internes et constitué des partenariats stratégiques pour le développement de nos produits », commente Paul Lambert, Group Vice President and General Manager, Electronics chez Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics and Interiors. « Comme résultat, nous proposons aux constructeurs automobiles des solutions de systèmes intégrés comprenant la navigation, la gestion audio, la connectivité et la conception IHM. »

Johnson Controls a également annoncé que son premier système complet d'infotainment serait lancé dans un programme de véhicule de l'année de modèle 2014 en Amérique du Nord, en Europe et en Asie.

Selon Lee Bauer, Vice President of Infotainment chez Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics and Interiors, la vision de l'infotainment proposée par l'entreprise répondra au désir exprimé à la fois par les constructeurs automobiles et par les conducteurs d'avoir une vision « composite » des différentes sources d'information existant dans le véhicule.

« Les applications d'infotainment et d'information fonctionnant actuellement sous de multiples systèmes d'exploitation sont fusionnées dans un package complet d'information au conducteur à la fois intuitif, sûr et évolutif pour les différents véhicules », déclare Bauer. « Les multiples systèmes d'exploitation qui pourront fonctionner dans leur propre environnement matériel sans modification seront la pierre angulaire de l'infotainment et de l'information du conducteur intégrés au véhicule dans un avenir basé sur le nuage. »

Disponible pour l'année de modèle 2015, l'approche « fusionnée » de Johnson Controls pour l'électronique interactive du conducteur permettra aux constructeurs automobiles d'atteindre le prochain niveau d'intégration matérielle tout en satisfaisant aux exigences de sécurité et d'information du conducteur. La capacité du système fera l'objet de perfectionnements lorsque les applications logicielles fonctionnant sous des plateformes Linux / GENIVI, Android et sous QNX en temps réel évolueront en mode sécurisé avec des pare-feu matériels. L'approche de l'entreprise fondée sur de multiples systèmes d'exploitation et la capacité de manipulation graphique assureront au système la performance requise par les constructeurs automobiles. Alliée à un nouveau modèle d'interaction hautement adaptatif recouvrant les informations et sources de contenus basées sur le nuage et celles provenant du véhicule, cette approche de fusion ouvrira à l'utilisateur une nouvelle dimension de vie à bord.

Le salon CES 2013 est le plus grand événement mondial annuel de l'innovation. Il a lieu du 8 au 11 janvier au Las Vegas Convention Center.
