Ixonos stellt auf der Embedded World 2013 in Nürnberg mehrere innovative Lösungen vor. Die Anwendung Ixonos Low Latency HD Video Streaming bietet Full-HD-Video-Streaming mit sehr geringer Latenz für Geräte mit niedrigem Ressourcenbedarf, z. B. Sicherheitskameras. Das Ixonos Embedded Linux Board Support Package (BSP) ist sehr elegant aufgebaut und vereinfacht das Installieren, Anpassen und Warten einer Linux-Distribution für kleine Geräte.
"Die Ixonos Low Latency HD Video Streaming-Technologie eignet sich hervorragend für Geräte des Systemtyps A/V wie beispielsweise für Videoüberwachung, für die geringe Glas-auf-Glas-Latenz erforderlich ist", so Martin Lund, Experte bei Ixonos. Die Anwendung läuft auf dem Ixonos Embedded Linux BSP und nutzt das beliebte Open-Source-Multimedia-Framework Gstreamer 1.0 für das Back-End-Streaming. "Unserem Kenntnisstand zufolge ist dies das schnellste Video-Streaming in einem eingebetteten System mit geringem Energieverbrauch. Bei unserer Lösung optimieren wir die Funktion des Chipsets", fährt Lund fort. Ixonos ist einer der ersten Systemintegratoren auf dem Markt, der diese neue Technologie für Chipsets einsetzt.
Der wichtigste Parameter der Anwendung ist die sehr geringe Latenz; für Full-HD-A/V-Streaming mit 1080 p 30 kann eine Latenz von nur 275 Millisekunden garantiert werden. Die Anwendung verwendet das DM8148 System-on-a-Chip von Texas Instruments, das niedrigen Energieverbrauch und Gerätedesigns mit geringem Ressourcenbedarf unterstützt.
Das Embedded Linux BSP von Ixonos ist ein moderner und leichter Software-Stack, der aktuelle Open-Source-Komponenten beinhaltet. Es bietet eine Software-Plattform, die einfach für jede Art von Embedded Linux-Anwendung erweitert werden kann, und läuft auf den Boards mehrerer führender Chipset-Hersteller.
