Tradeware Global provides strategic business solutions for domestic and global equity trading. More than 200 brokerage firms and institutional investors around the world rely on Tradeware's products and services. Tradeware MarketCenter routes and keeps track of hundreds of thousands of trades every day. As part of this service, Tradeware uses BusinessObjects XI and Crystal Reports XI to analyze trading information and deliver it to clients. With BusinessObjects XI Tradeware created an extranet where clients can view performance data that is relevant to them. Using any standard web browser, Tradeware's clients now have instant access to critical information presented in a visual, easy to understand format. By extending business intelligence capabilities to its clients, Tradeware provides a powerful service for managing the performance of trading activities.
Prior to standardizing on BusinessObjects XI, Tradeware relied on a proprietary reporting solution running on expensive hardware that was costly to maintain and upgrade. The system lacked tools to help clients easily visualize data and required developers to create and modify reports, which was time-consuming and costly. BusinessObjects XI on Linux allows Tradeware to deploy a comprehensive, flexible BI platform that works seamlessly across a heterogeneous computing environment.
In addition to the new reporting and analysis capabilities for clients, several departments across the company -- including account management, sales, operations, and finance -- now use BusinessObjects XI for their reporting and compliance needs. Employees can access client usage information, how many trades are executed per day, compliance information, billing information, and much more. Reports are easier to read and are offered in several different formats, such as PDF, XML, and CSV.
"Like many organizations in the financial services industry, Tradeware recognized that Business Objects offers the most complete and flexible solution for turning the mountains of data they generate and manage into usable information," said Donald MacCormick, vice president of product marketing at Business Objects. "As the gold standard in business intelligence extranets, Business Objects ensures that users get the information they need when they need it and in a form they can easily understand -- whether it's operational data, trade management, or investor reports. Our ongoing commitment to open source is enables customers like Tradeware to deploy agnostic solutions that help them keep a competitive edge."
