Alaric's Authentic Validated As Ready For IBM Systems With Linux

Chiphopper Assurance For Authentic Now Available On pSeries, OpenPower, JS20 Blades And iSeries Platforms

Alaric, supplier of advanced technology solutions for the card payments industry, announced that their Authentic product has been certified to receive Chiphopper Assurance on the pSeries, OpenPower, JS20 blades and iSeries platforms, using Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

The IBM Systems Application Advantage for Linux, or Chiphopper, offering is designed to help Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in porting, testing, and supporting existing Linux applications on other IBM Systems and middleware platforms. It helps to maximize Linux opportunities while minimizing development time and expense.

Following its qualification to receive Chiphopper assurance, Authentic is now validated as Ready for IBM Systems with Linux. Through this programme, IBM will work jointly with Alaric to provide support on cross-platform issues.

Mervin Amos, CTO at Alaric Systems, commented, “This latest technical validation confirms Alaric’s continual commitment in ensuring that its customers have a wide range of options for using Authentic with their preferred platform. Chiphopper provides multiple benefits for ISVs and systems integrators to migrate their Intel-based Linux applications to IBM platforms. Furthermore, it gives assurances that the applications will run seamlessly across Linux servers.”

Since implementing the Chiphopper process, Alaric will receive support and resources from IBM for the configuration of the product and platforms.
