Rob Meinhardt Named to Bomgar's Board of Directors

Bomgar, the leader in enterprise remote support solutions, has named Rob Meinhardt to the company's board of directors. The high tech industry veteran joins Bomgar as the company looks to build on its success and growth in the enterprise remote support market.

A partner with venture capital firm Toba Capital, Meinhardt has more than 20 years of experience as a CEO, marketing executive and strategy consultant in the high tech industry. Prior to joining Toba Capital, Meinhardt served as CEO of KACE, the company that he co-founded in 2003 and was subsequently acquired by Dell in 2010. Dell|KACE was one of the fastest growing businesses acquired by Dell, and today nearly 10,000 customers have deployed its award-winning Systems Management Appliances. Prior to founding KACE, Meinhardt served as Vice President of Marketing for AvantGo from inception through public offering (formerly NASDAQ: AVGO, acquired by Sybase), and as a principal in the strategy consulting firm, R.B. Webber & Company, serving clients such as Sybase, Apple, FedEx and Chiron. In addition to Bomgar, Meinhardt currently serves as a board member, advisor and/or investor in Bright, Directly, Influitive, Alteryx and Oiselle Running.

"KACE has an extensive partnership with Bomgar, and while I was there, I witnessed a very strong interest in Bomgar’s products and a passionate base of existing users," said Meinhardt. "I believe Bomgar’s focus on security and dominance in the enterprise remote support market put the company in a strong position to continue to grow market share and capitalize on emerging opportunities."

"Rob Meinhardt brings deep industry experience to our board and his insight and vision will be invaluable as we look to further expand our customer base," said Joel Bomgar, founder and CEO of Bomgar. "He is a great complement to our leadership team, and we’re excited to work with him as we continue to grow the company."

Meinhardt joins Bill Kennedy, whose former positions include CEO of Hyper9, Inc. and Waveset Technologies, Director of Engineering at security products for IBM Tivoli, and Vice President of Identity Products for Sun Microsystems, and Joey Stroble, former CEO of Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company, as independent board members.
