Red Hat RHAT announced its flagship events for 2007, including the Red Hat Summit 2007, JBoss World 2007 and FUDCON 2007. Red Hat is designing these events to encourage content-driven agendas for the company's various constituencies and customers and to add further value to the deployment and development of open source solutions. Each venue will engage audiences and help attendees to gain insight into the latest open source technologies, trends and issues. "Red Hat Summit, JBoss World and FUDCON are three events where lead users and lead developers can discuss their respective agendas for open source development, deployment and innovation. Customers can learn new ways to drive costs out of infrastructure from some of the best and most innovative practitioners in the world. Developers and contributors can gain a better perspective on what technologies will make the biggest impact in their work and lives," said Michael Tiemann, Vice President of Open Source Advocacy at Red Hat. "Active participation is key for attendees to realize full value of attending events. Feedback from past events confirms that engaging with peers, partners and industry experts helps attendees complete their open source experience and gives them the tools for even greater success with open source technologies."
JBOSS WORLD 2006 AND JBOSS WORLD 2007
Red Hat Forum at JBoss World Berlin 2006 is a "conference within a conference" that will feature sessions on Red Hat core technology, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora, Red Hat Application Stack, virtualization, Red Hat Network and customer case studies. Red Hat customers with an interest in core technology beyond the middleware layer will benefit from this wide range of educational content, regardless of their experience level.
At JBoss World 2007, the open source middleware community, developers, technology implementers and decision-makers will come together to learn about JBoss and Red Hat solutions designed to add agility and flexibility to a wide variety of environments. Tracks will cover JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite (JEMS) technologies such as Hibernate, JBoss Seam and JBoss ESB; best practices for developing Enterprise Java, service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Web 2.0 applications; and real-world case studies. Taking place in the fall of 2007, the date and location for JBoss World 2007 will be announced this spring.
RED HAT SUMMIT 2007
The third annual Red Hat Summit 2007 will take place May 9 - 11, 2007 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California. Especially designed for IT decision makers, enterprise architects, current and future Red Hat customers, engineering managers, open source enthusiasts and partners from around the world, the Red Hat Summit 2007 is the industry's premiere open source knowledge exchange. Attendees will learn how to add real value to infrastructures with solutions based on open source. Session tracks at the Red Hat Summit will include virtualization, service-oriented architecture (SOA), the Linux desktop and the open source stack. In-depth discussions will also be held on issues such as IP, open source proliferation in industry verticals, global markets and emerging technologies.
