6WIND, Avaya and H3C Join the OpenDaylight Project

Member Organizations Join Industry's Largest Open Source SDN and NFV Project to Advance Code Development and Adoption

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/14 -- The OpenDaylight Project, a community-led and industry-supported open source platform to advance Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), today announced that 6WIND, Avaya and H3C are joining the project to advance the development and widespread deployment of open SDN and NFV. Project membership has doubled since launching 12 months ago and the OpenDaylight community has grown to more than 170 developers.

6WIND delivers commercial software that solves performance challenges for network vendors in telecom, enterprise and cloud infrastructure markets. The community has begun work on OpenDaylight's second open source software release, Helium, leading up to the OpenDaylight Developer Design Forum event aimed at the developer community taking place September 29-30 in Santa Clara.
