Cyphort's Strong Momentum Accelerates Its Growth; Adds to Its Executive Team, Expands Research, Engineering and Sales Teams

Advanced Threat Defense Innovator Adds Former Juniper Executive as Vice President of Operations and Alliances, Snags Top Researchers to Support Its Global Threat Intelligence Center, and Ramps Sales and Engineering Teams to Meet Increased Demand for Its S

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/27/14 -- Cyphort, an innovative provider of Advanced Threat Defense solutions, today announced the addition of Paul McNulty to its executive team as vice president of Operations and Alliances. It also announced the expansion of Cyphort Labs, its global Threat Intelligence Center, with the addition of two new malware analysts, and expanded engineering and sales teams. This wave of corporate expansion reflects the strong momentum Cyphort is experiencing due to its well designed, no-nonsense approach to Advanced Threat Defense -- an approach that has landed the company a slew of awards and accolades since its February 2014 launch, most recently being named as one of "12 hot security start-ups you need to know" by Network World.

"We put the same kind of effort into expanding our team as we have into building the Cyphort Advanced Threat Defense platform, and the results have been equally amazing," said Manoj Leelanivas, CEO, Cyphort. "Having worked with Paul in the past, I can't think of anyone more capable to successfully lead the equally strategic functions of Operations, Support and Alliances. Not to mention our new researchers and sales people are rock stars in their own right. With this expansion, we can further our already turbo-charged momentum to deliver solutions that enable security teams to quickly and accurately detect advanced attacks while expediting effective mitigation."

Joining Cyphort after an exceptionally successful tenure at Juniper Networks, Paul is widely recognized as a highly strategic, effective leader and manager capable of tackling a diverse set of responsibilities. His ascent within Juniper included stints as Vice President of Juniper's Advanced Technologies Group, Vice President of Service Automation, and Vice President of Global Support, where he was responsible for supporting $800 million in revenue and managed a staff of 500 employees and external support resources. As Vice President of Customer Service, APAC, he grew the service revenues from $12 to $80 million over the four years. Prior to Juniper, Paul started UUNET Asia Pacific and was its Director of Network Engineering during a critical growth period of the Internet in the region.

Marion Marschalek and McEnroe Navaraj join Cyphort's elite team of security researchers at Cyphort Labs. In March 2013, Marion won the prestigious Female Reverse Engineering Challenge where ability to easily structure and highly technical content won her international acclaim. McEnroe joins Cyphort from Bromium, where his penetration testing acumen led to his peers publicly praising him as "Understated, brilliant, humble, principled and hyper-productive."

Their role at Cyphort will be to develop advanced technologies that power the Cyphort Threat Protection Platform, deliver accurate and timely threat intelligence help customers detect and mitigate attacks, and monitor threat development globally. Since Cyphort's formal launch in February 2014, Cyphort Labs has discovered three new Zero-Day attacks in the wild, the most recent of which was discovered by Marion earlier this month.

To meet increasing demand for it's solution, Cyphort is expanding engineering footprint by adding an R&D facility in Bengaluru, India. Additionally, Cyphort also expanded its US sales team, deepening its presence on the East coast as well as South Central US. This incremental expansion provides broader coverage across North America and positions Cyphort for future International expansion.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things').
