Pop quiz: what company both doubled its annual revenue in 2006 and closed a $26.25 million round of funding? Clue: it also tracked 290,000 downloads of its RIA platform and lined up IBM, Walmart.com, H&R Block, Monster, Barclays Global and Pandora as customers. Extra clue: it also announced project "Orbit" which will allow developers using its platform to compile into Java Mobile and run it on devices.

If none of the above clues helped, then you've clearly not yet tried OpenLaszlo, don't yet use Laszlo Mail, haven't explored the Laszlo Webtop, and aren't familiar with the OpenLaszlo 4 project, formerly codenamed "Legals." For the company we are talking of here is Laszlo Systems.
OpenLaszlo 4.0 is currently in its first beta release, and is like the beating heart of Laszlo Systems.
The aim of OpenLaszlo 4.0 is to provide a single application environment that supports multiple deployment runtimes; it began at the beginning of 2006 and a final release is planned by the end of March of this year.
Laszlo Systems, the Diamond Sponsor of AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007, has a special Laszlo Track at the event, replete with top speakers and technical insights into Laszlo's current, and fastexpanding offerings.
Pictured above is David Temkin, Laszlo's founder and CTO, center, standing alongside the coiner of "AJAX," Jesse James Garrett.
