WOBURN, Mass., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless has opened a new location in Dorchester, Mass. Located inside the Circuit City at South Bay Center, 8 Allstate Road, the store is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
"This expansion represents our commitment to provide customers with increased convenience and an accessible, knowledgeable sales staff," commented store manager Rachel Thompson. "Demand for our wireless services continues to grow as more people take advantage of our America's Choice(R) and FamilyShare(R) price plans, and our popular data services like wireless broadband, V CAST downloadable music and on-demand video, picture messaging and text messaging."
Thompson will oversee a staff of six employees. The store features the full range of Verizon Wireless products and services and is fully staffed for customer service, allowing customers to speak with Verizon Wireless' highly trained representatives about all their wireless needs.
Verizon Wireless has invested more than $35 billion in the last seven years -- $5 billion on average every year since the company was formed -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. In 2006 the company completed nearly $318 million in New England network enhancements - thus increasing the company's regional network expenditure to more than $1.8 billion since 2000.
