One of the pioneers of modern-day application streaming and virtualization technology, Endeavors Technologies, today introduced Application Jukebox, its next-generation application streaming and virtualization family of products. A California based subsidiary of London-based Tadpole Technology plc, Endeavors, together with its sister division, Stream Theory Inc., creates, develops and markets innovative application virtualization and streaming technologies that allow servers to stream pc-based applications to client computers where they are subsequently executed.
These "next stage" technologies replace thin client computing paradigms.
"We are excited by the possibilities we see for Application Jukebox," said Peter Bondar, CEO at Endeavors Technologies. "We envision a future where the Application Jukebox Player will be on every client, delivering applications in the same manner that a jukebox delivers music. We see an enormous opportunity in the SaaS market and are working with a number of organizations that are preparing to offer applications on a rental basis using this model. They are enthusiastic about the additional functionality and ease of use provided by Application Jukebox," he added.
The unique configurable virtualization feature in Application Jukebox allows streamed applications to run on the client in fully isolated (sandboxed) mode, fully integrated mode, or any combination between the two.
Endeavors Technologies' CTO, Arthur Hitomi, wll be giving a session - "On-demand Application Delivery: Cutting Through the Confusion" - at Virtualization Conference & Expo 2007 West (November 12-13, San Francisco.) He will address the solutions changing the way we deliver and manage applications.
"Application streaming enables organizations to reduce the total cost of ownership while improving service levels, simplifying the management of computers while improving security and reliability," notes Hitomi.
