Enterprise Comet & Web 2.0 Live Presentation

Extending the Enterprise Service Bus to the Browser

The Enterprise Service Bus provides event-driven and standards-based message services that are fundamental to large and complex enterprise infrastructures. Traditionally the ESB has focused on message delivery between different disparate server-side systems. With the use of modern Web 2.0 techniques we can now extend the ESB all the way to the browser. Messages can be delivered from the server to the Web client in real time, making the Web client an integral part of a service-oriented architecture. In this general session the speakers will introduce you to Enterprise Comet, a real-time message delivery technology that extends the Enterprise Service Bus to your browser.

Speaker Bios: A native of Sweden, Jonas Jacobi has worked in the software industry for more than 15 years with a mission to simplify application development. Prior to founding Kaazing, he worked for Oracle for eight years as a Java EE evangelist and product manager responsible for the product management of JavaServer Faces, Oracle ADF Faces, and Oracle ADF Faces Rich Client in the Oracle JDeveloper team. As co-founder and chief executive officer of Kaazing, Jonas sets the company's business and product strategy and oversees all aspects of Kaazing's operations and mission to become the world-wide leader in real-time software. He is co-author of the best-selling book, "Pro JSF and Ajax: Building Rich Internet Components," (Apress).

John Fallows is a pioneer in the field of rich and highly interactive user interfaces and co-founder of Kaazing. Before founding Kaazing, John was a consulting member of the technical staff for server technologies at Oracle. During his last five years at Oracle, he focused on designing, developing, and evolving Oracle ADF Faces to fully integrate AJAX technologies. He is co-author of the best-selling book, "Pro JSF and Ajax: Building Rich Internet Components," (Apress). In his role as chief technology officer, John formulates Kaazing's vision of creating the best real-time Web framework based on the Java standard. Service-oriented architectures (SOAs) have evolved over the past few years out of the original vision of loosely coupled web services replacing constrained, stovepiped applications throughout enterprise IT. Every major enterprise technology vendor today has developed its own SOA strategy, supported by innumerable mid-size companies and start-ups offering specific SOA aspects or entire solutions. This explosive growth in SOA technology is in response to a global demand--IDC estimates that spending on SOA services alone will grow from $8.6 billion to more than $33 billion by 2010.

It is of utmost importance for the future success of WebRTC to ensure that interoperability is operational between web browsers and any WebRTC-compliant client. To be guaranteed as operational and effective, interoperability must be tested extensively by establishing WebRTC data and media connections between different web browsers running on different devices and operating systems. Most people haven’t heard the word, “gamification,” even though they probably, and perhaps unwittingly, participate in it every day. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Robert Endo, owner and engagement manager of Intrepid D...
Recently, WebRTC has a lot of eyes from market. The use cases of WebRTC are expanding - video chat, online education, online health care etc. Not only for human-to-human communication, but also IoT use cases such as machine to human use cases can be seen recently. One of the typical use-case is remote camera monitoring. With WebRTC, people can have interoperability and flexibility for deploying monitoring service. However, the benefit of WebRTC for IoT is not only its convenience and interopera...

To Really Work for Enterprises, MultiCloud Adoption Requires Far Better and Inclusive Cloud Monitoring and Cost Management … But How? Overwhelmingly, even as enterprises have adopted cloud computing and are expanding to multi-cloud computing, IT leaders remain concerned about how to monitor, manage and control costs across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments. It’s clear that traditional IT monitoring and management approaches, designed after all for on-premises data centers, are falling short in ...
