Secure Elements Delivers Enterprise Vulnerability Management on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

HERNDON, Va., March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Secure Elements, Inc., a leader in enterprise vulnerability management and remediation, today announced that its C5 Enterprise Vulnerability Management (EVM) solution is now delivered on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform. In addition, Secure Elements is among the first independent software vendors (ISVs) to be certified on the recently released Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.

Pittsburgh, Pa.-based health insurer Highmark Inc. has chosen the Red Hat and Secure Elements partnership to provide the software, hardware and support necessary to deliver asset knowledge, policy enforcement, security patch management and remediation management for approximately 13,000 assets throughout its enterprise.

"Heterogeneous vulnerability management is a key strength for Secure Elements and is rapidly becoming a necessity for every vulnerability management vendor," said Jon Oltsik, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. "C5 EVM provides real-time visibility into the network and clear-cut reports about remediations, both of which are essential to good regulatory compliance."

"Secure Elements' C5 EVM solution combined with Red Hat Enterprise Linux automates vulnerability identification and remediation, making those processes both repeatable and easily documented for auditors," said Ned Miller, Secure Elements president and CEO. "Current regulations that apply to healthcare companies require information integrity and information security. Automation of the security process enables our healthcare clients to improve their security posture, operate more efficiently and report more accurately -- all at a lower cost."

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...
