The Vanishing Bits
I often wonder what happens to data when it gets erased. Just where does it go? What happens to it? Does it 'vanish' completely, or does it still exist somewhere, perhaps in the memory bank of the expanding universe?

This article would be better if it had a point. I can't believe it made it past the editors. Reading it was a waste of my time.

Um... While the article was certainly entertaining, it didn't really address the questions raised in the abstract. Or really be useful or interesting apart from entertaining. So... better abstracts are good.

I often wonder what happens to data when it gets erased. Just where does it go? What happens to it? Does it 'vanish' completely, or does it still exist somewhere, perhaps in the memory bank of the expanding universe?
