Skyway Software lays claim today to be the the first "sophisticated SOA platform provider for open-source implementations," a claim related to the fact that its service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform is now certified to deliver SOA solutions for Linux. By adding Linux to the list of certified operating systems, says Jared Rodriguez, CEO of Skyway Software and one of the authors of the UDDI specification, Skyway "provides another option for customers to lower the TCO of their SOA business solutions." "The roadblocks to realizing business value from SOA implementations aren't limited to the effort and learning curve associated with services development," Rodriguez explains. "They include governance issues associated with implementing corporate policies and maximizing services reuse."
Skyway's team has a successful history of developing proven industry winners. Skyway's principal investor, Daniel Aegerter, and CEO, Jared Rodriguez, were the founding partners of Tradex Technologies, which was acquired by Ariba in 2000 for $5.4 billion. Skyway differentiates itself in the SOA market space by providing the only platform built specifically for the full SOA solution lifecycle with its development, governance, and deployment components.
