BitDefender Unveils Powerful Linux-Based Enterprise Security Suite for Mail and File Servers

New Suite Addresses the Growing Needs of Samba and FreeBSD Server Users

BitDefender has announced the public availability of its new Enterprise Security Suite for Mail and File Servers running on Samba or FreeBSD. The powerful, new Linux-based security suite - including BitDefender Mail Protection for Enterprises, BitDefender Mail Protection for SMB, and BitDefender for Samba File Servers - is now currently available for download in both enterprise and SMB editions.

Designed for high-traffic mail servers, BitDefender Mail Protection for Enterprises offers the industry's most complete set of antivirus, antispam, and antispyware filtering available, meeting the security needs for targeted market segments including enterprises and Internet Service Providers.

New features in BitDefender Enterprise Security Suite include:
• Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support
• A remote administration interface
• Fully enhanced anti-spam technology
• Group management

Tailored to meet the budgetary needs of small and medium-sized businesses, BitDefender Mail Protection for SMB offers customers the same proven security protection found in BitDefender Mail Protection for Enterprises without the group management or SNMP.

BitDefender for Samba File Servers offers users new features such as a variety of different antivirus settings per each share and full SNMP support. In addition, the product includes a newly redesigned remote administration interface, allowing for increased usability.
